Claude & Jill Kleynhans, born and raised in South Africa, both have a genuine love and appreciation for African artefacts and curios.

Each item is hand-picked for quality and authenticity, so when you make a purchase, you can expect the very best that Africa has to offer!  Where possible, Symbols purchases directly from the artists, thus ensuring that both you and the artist get the best deal for the artefacts.

Symbols is an independent supplier of African curios and we hope to make a difference by promoting our African heritage and culture through African Arts and Crafts.  Our gift store was established in 1997, but has only recently been launched on the internet, enabling us to offer our beautiful products worldwide and the boutique store is situated at the Mafigeni Safari Lodge premises, just 40 minutes from the renowned Kruger National Park.
